Assisted Stretch

Assisted stretching with Julia is a customized, one-on-one therapeutic experience designed to improve mobility, alleviate chronic muscle tension, and restore natural movement patterns. Rather than relying on solo stretching, where it is easy to compensate or hold back due to tight muscles, this practitioner-guided session allows the body to safely achieve a deeper muscle lengthening and an increased range of motion while remaining completely relaxed. What the Session Entails Julia integrates manual therapies with active and passive structural bodywork. The approach focuses on a few core methodologies: Targeted Muscle Lengthening: Safely isolating deep muscle groups—such as tight hip flexors, the posterior chain (hamstrings and calves), and the chest or shoulders—that are frequently locked up from desk work or intense physical training. Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF): Utilizing brief, gentle contractions against targeted manual resistance, followed by a complete release. This safely overrides the nervous system’s natural stretch reflex to unlock new, comfortable flexibility. Decompression & Alignment: Gentle, continuous traction and passive floor or table work that creates space within stiff joints and unwinds restricted fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). Key Physical Benefits Alleviates Chronic Discomfort: Releases structural tension causing common aches like lower back stiffness, tight IT bands, and neck stress. Accelerates Recovery: Boosts blood flow and improves local circulation to clear metabolic waste from overused or fatigued muscles. Bridging Sedentary & Active Life: Prepares muscles for optimal movement efficiency, lowering the risk of strains or overuse injuries. What to Wear: To get the most out of your session, wear loose-fitting activewear or comfortable clothing that allows for a complete, unrestricted range of motion.

Private Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a deeply relaxing style of yoga focused on passive stretching, healing, and rest. Unlike more active forms of yoga (like Vinyasa or Hatha) where you exert muscular effort to hold or flow through poses, restorative yoga is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. Key Features of Restorative Yoga Total Body Support: Props are placed so that your body is completely supported, allowing your muscles to fully release tension without any active effort or strain. Long Holds: Because the body is supported, you hold each pose for a long time—usually anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. A typical 60-minute class might only include 4 or 5 shapes. Calming the Nervous System: By staying still and focusing on slow, deep breathing, the practice triggers the parasympathetic nervous system (the "rest and digest" mode), lowering heart rate and reducing stress hormones like cortisol. Mindfulness and Stillness: It is as much a mental practice as a physical one. The challenge often lies in keeping the mind quiet and resting in the stillness of the pose. It is an excellent practice for anyone dealing with high stress, recovering from an injury, or simply looking to balance out an intense workout routine with deep, healing rest.

Aromatherapy

Deep Tissue is a slow, intentional approach to releasing tension held deep within the muscles and fascia. Rather than pushing hard, the work sinks in gradually — inviting tight areas to soften, unwind, and find ease again. This style of bodywork supports mobility, reduces chronic tension, and helps your whole system settle into a calmer, more spacious state. It’s focused, mindful, and deeply restorative.

Complimentary

Cupping

Cupping is a gentle, restorative technique that uses soft suction to lift the skin and ease tension in the layers beneath. At Mindful Care Yoga & Massage, we use cupping to encourage circulation, melt muscular tightness, and support the body’s natural ability to unwind and rebalance. The sensation is light, spacious, and deeply relieving — a supportive complement to hands‑on bodywork that helps you breathe a little easier and move with more freedom.

Hot stone treatment

Hot Stone Treatment uses smooth, gently heated stones to warm the muscles and invite deep relaxation. The steady heat helps tight areas soften more easily, allowing the body to release tension without force. As the stones glide across the skin, they create a calm, grounding rhythm that soothes the nervous system and encourages a sense of spacious ease. It’s nurturing, comforting, and deeply restorative — a warm embrace for tired muscles and a quiet reset for the mind.

Complimentary

Scalp massage

Scalp Massage is a soothing, grounding treatment that melts away tension held around the head, neck, and jaw. With slow, rhythmic techniques, the work encourages circulation, quiets the nervous system, and creates a sense of spacious ease through the whole body. It’s calming, nurturing, and deeply settling — a gentle reset that helps you breathe more fully and feel more present.
