Mindful Care Yoga Is Your Personalized Approach To Yoga

Julia's Story

Portrait of Julia Bledsoe

JULIA discovered yoga's transformative benefits at age 17 when she picked up a book by Richard Hittleman and practiced from the book in the backyard of her family’s home in Southwest Florida. Yoga remained a quiet and constant presence until life’s inevitable stresses, aches, and pains, led her back to the mat in 2005 in search of relief and balance. It proved, once again, to be a transformative and stabilizing practice. Julia continued her yoga practice through breast cancer treatment in 2009 and credits the practice with helping her through the treatment and with recovery.

In 2014, Julia enrolled in yoga teacher training with We Are One Flow, Reno. This training ignited Julia’s interest in the study of yoga therapy. In 2015 this interest led her to study at Yoga Tree San Francisco under Harvey Deutch and other wonderful teachers. In 2016 she completed the 500-hour, Yoga Alliance-recognized, Yoga Teacher Training certification with a focus on Yoga Therapeutics. In the fall of 2017, Julia enrolled in an 800-hour training with Stress Management Center of Marin to become a certified yoga therapist.

Julia’s mindful, gentle approach to yoga is accessible to everybody. Julia works with those needing to reconnect with their bodies. Whether aging, living with chronic illness, recovering from injury, joint replacement surgery, cancer, or trauma, all levels are welcome.
